HISTORY OF CINCO RANCH ROTARY
THE BEGINNING
The idea for a breakfast Rotary Club in Katy originated with Tom Juarez. Tom was a member of the Katy Noon Rotary Club and felt there was a need for a breakfast club. The Heights Rotary Club agreed to sponsor the new club and an initial meeting was held in March 2002 at Skeeters Grill.
On May 24, 2002 , the Rotary Club of Katy Sunrise was officially chartered during a ceremony attended by the District 5890 Governor Jon Eiche and other Houston area Rotary officials.
In 2011, the club was renamed The Rotary Club of Cinco Ranch.
Cinco Ranch Rotary meetings are held every Tuesday morning from 7:00 a.m.to 8:15 a.m. at the Golf Club of Cinco Ranch. Visitors are welcome to attend the meetings to learn more about Rotary and the benefits of membership. For more information, please email us.

SERVICE ABOVE SELF
Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders. Rotarians provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards, and help build goodwill in the world.
As signified by the motto Service Above Self, Rotary’s main objective is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.
THE FOUR WAY TEST
The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages, and Rotarians recite it at all club meetings.
Of the things we think, say or do:
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
